Most of us know or are the ones who will look at the workout the night before in order to “game it” for the next day. What I mean by “game it”, is that some will not show because they are scared of the work out. Maybe they cannot do some or one of the movements, maybe the weight written is to heavy, or the time frame for the workout is to long, either way, this is the complete opposite way to look at it. Everything is scalable in Crossfit. That is the beauty of it. Instead of looking at the WODs in a negative way, start looking at them in a way that you can get better at that movement you do not like, or how can you get a little faster for this METCON or how can you get more reps or rounds in an AMRAP. A good coach can have you do the WODs in a way that you are going to get better, faster, and stronger with also having you leave feeling that you crushed the workout instead of just going through the movements. Remember, not everyday you will be able to RX a workout or it may take you a few months to get there. But, each day you come in and give it your all, that is a RX day for you. The weight on the bar or a different movement to accomplish the same goals and complete the workout does not matter. What matters is that you came in and crushed it.
